Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pagepost ("the Service"), operated as a personal project by Alexandros Tzoumas, an individual based in Greece ("we", "us"). By installing the Pagepost Slack app or using the website at pagepost.app you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Pagepost turns HTML and Markdown files into shareable links. You can upload via the web or by dropping a file in a Slack channel where our bot is installed. The Service is currently provided free of charge and on an "as-is" basis.
1a. Testing phase
Pagepost is in an active testing phase. In addition to the general availability and warranty terms below:
- Data may be deleted. We may delete uploaded content, links, accounts, and associated metadata at any time during the testing period, with or without notice. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
- No sensitive data. Do not upload confidential, regulated, or personally sensitive information during testing (including health data, financial account data, government IDs, or special-category personal data under Art. 9 GDPR).
- We may end the test. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate the Service, or any user's access to it, at any time and for any reason, without notice and without liability.
- Practices may evolve. Pricing, features, retention, and data-handling practices may change as the Service moves out of testing. Material changes are handled per §10 below.
2. Accounts
You sign in with Slack OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your Slack account and for any actions taken under your Pagepost session. You must be 16 or older (the age of digital consent in Greece) to use the Service.
3. Your content
You retain all ownership and rights in the files you upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, encrypt, transmit, and serve Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
Share-link visibility. Files you upload are accessible via their share link to anyone who has it, subject to the workspace or permission settings you choose for each link. Treat share links as you would any unlisted URL: anyone the link is forwarded to can open the file. We do not crawl, index, or otherwise advertise your links, but we cannot prevent recipients from sharing them further.
You are solely responsible for Your Content. You confirm that:
- You have the right to upload and share it.
- It does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- It complies with applicable law.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to host or distribute:
- Malware, phishing pages, impersonation, or content intended to defraud.
- Content that is illegal under Greek or EU law, including incitement to violence, terrorism content, or child sexual abuse material.
- Content that infringes third-party intellectual property.
- Personal data of others without their consent.
- Spam or bulk content disconnected from a legitimate business or personal purpose.
- Confidential, regulated, or sensitive personal data during the testing phase (see §1a).
You may not attempt to disrupt the Service, reverse-engineer it, circumvent its security controls, or use it to harm others.
5. Removal and termination
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, on notice where practical and immediately where the violation is serious (e.g. illegal content, security risk).
You can stop using the Service and delete your data at any time from your account page.
6. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available but we do not guarantee uptime, performance, or that data will never be lost. The Service depends on third-party providers (Vercel, Turso, Slack) whose own outages can affect availability. Keep your own copy of important files.
7. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to €100 or, if you are a consumer in the EU, the minimum amount mandated by applicable consumer protection law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms, you agree to defend us and reimburse our reasonable costs (including legal fees) in handling the claim.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes we will notify signed-in users at next sign-in. Continued use after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. The courts of Athens, Greece have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your country of residence.
