ChatGPT MCP connector

Share a ChatGPT page as a real link.

No copy-paste, no download-then-upload. ChatGPT builds the page and publishes it through our MCP connector — the live link lands right back in the chat, ready to paste anywhere a URL works.

Works for interactive HTML dashboards and Markdown reports alike.

Why sharing the chat link doesn't work

A ChatGPT canvas lives inside your conversation. Send the chat link and your colleague lands in your message history and has to hunt for the thing you meant them to see — if they can open it at all. Download the file instead and you get an .html file that opens as a blank page or raw source for anyone without the right setup.

→ Publishing it gives you a normal URL. It opens the rendered page, on any device, for anyone you send it to.

  1. 1

    Turn on developer mode

In ChatGPT on the web, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and switch on Developer mode. Custom connectors are available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans. On Business and Enterprise an admin may need to allow them first.
  2. 2

    Add Pagepost as a connector

Still under Settings → Apps & Connectors, choose Create. Set the name to PagePost, paste https://pagepost.app/api/mcp as the MCP server URL, and save. ChatGPT walks you through the sign-in — use Google or Slack, once.
  3. 3

Ask for a page, then publish it

Prompt ChatGPT for a dashboard, a one-pager, a Markdown report — anything it can write as HTML or MD. Then say “publish it to Pagepost” and it posts the live link straight back into the chat.

Works in deep research too

Pagepost exposes the search and fetch tools ChatGPT expects, so your published pages are readable as sources in a deep research run — not just writable from a normal chat.

Load a page back and revise it

Ask ChatGPT to open a page you published earlier and it pulls the real source down, edits it, and writes it back to the same URL. Nobody has to re-share a new link.

Your links, your dashboard

Everything ChatGPT publishes lands in your Pagepost dashboard next to your manual uploads and anything Claude or Gemini published. Rename, revoke, or expire any of them from one place.

Using a different assistant? Set it up for Claude, Gemini or DeepSeek. Using something we haven't listed? Any MCP client works — it's the same connector. Not using an assistant at all? Upload directly or use it from Slack.

How are you feeling about Pagepost?

Choose which optional categories you allow. Strictly-necessary storage is always on — without it, the site cannot keep you signed in.

Strictly necessary

Required for sign-in, OAuth security, and remembering this cookie choice. You can't turn these off.

Analytics — Google Analytics

Aggregate usage metrics — page views, traffic sources, broad engagement patterns. Runs in Consent Mode v2: when off, no cookies are set and Google only receives anonymous, cookieless aggregate signals.

Session replay — Microsoft Clarity

Anonymised replays of how users navigate the site, used to find UX issues. The Clarity script is not loaded at all when this is off.
